今月発表したプレスリリースでは、JICAプログラムの高度外国人材のインターンシップ受け入れ・採用状況について発表致しました。
そこで、JICAイノベーティブ・アジアプログラムでインターンののち、ISOLに正式入社したマレーシア出身のアクマールさんと、タイ出身のチャニサラさんに４つの質問をしてみました。

①学生の頃学んでいたことを教えてください
Please describe what you were learning when you were in school?
私は北海道大学でバイオメディカルデザインのPh.D(Doctor of Philosophy=医学博士号)を取得しています。当時は、3Dプリンティング技術により造形された多孔質64チタン合金を、骨や医療用インプラントの界面強化に適用することに関連した研究を行っていました。博士号取得までの道のりの中では、4つの国際会議に出席し全世界の研究者たちからたくさんのことを学ぶことができたことが一番思い出深いです。在学中も研究者たちの考察をあらゆる視点から学ぶことができました。
I am a PHD graduate in Biomechanical Design. My research topic was related to the application of coating technology of 3D printed Ti6Al4V porous scaffold to reinforce the bioactivity of bone/implant interface. The most memorable experience during my PHD journey is I participated in four international conferences and I learnt a lot from researchers around the globe during the conferences. Thought process that I developed during my university time and the experiences meeting with researchers from around the globe would allow me to have insight in other perspectives.

What did you do during your internship? and how did you describe that experience?
2021年の始めにイノベーティブ・ソリューションズでインターンシップをしていました。その際初めてビジネスプロセスを学び、プロセスを可視化する為のツールであるiGrafxの使い方も学びました。それ以外に今後の事業拡大に向け、APACにおけるソリューションの市場調査も行いました。私にとって、大学では学ぶことができなかった新しい経験ができ、また博士号取得までに得たスキルも活かせることを知りました。コロナ感染症の影響もあり、インターン中は滞在先であるホテルからのリモートワークでしたが、私にとっては時間の融通が利き、ストレスの少ない働きやすい環境であり、イノベーティブ・ソリューションズは働きやすい環境を提供してくれていると感じました。
During my internship early of 2021 with ISOL, it was my first time learning about business processes and how to visualize the processes by using iGrafx. Besides, I was assigned to do market research in APAC for business expansion purposes. It was a new experience since business was not my major in university and I noticed that the skills which I gained along my PHD journey were the most valuable takeaways. “Work from hotel” during the internship made me feel less stressed and flexible with my schedule while working. ③なぜイノベーティブ・ソリューションズを選んだのでしょうか？
Why did you choose Innovative Solutions?
就職先を決める際に２つ決めていたことがありました。１つはフレキシブルで働きやすい環境であること、もう一つはアイディアの共有ができ、みんなで前進することができる学びのあるチームであること。インターンシップを始めた時も、楽しかったインターンシップを終えた後もISOLは２つとも持ち合わせている会社だと感じました。多様性があり、様々な価値観や文化が混ざりあうハイブリッドなカルチャーがあるイノベーティブ・ソリューションズは、グローバル企業としての道を正しく進んでいると思います。
Two things that I consider when choosing a company are flexible working culture and a team that would emphasize on learning, ideas sharing and advancement and ISOL has both criterias. Hence, I chose ISOL for the first time when I decided to do an internship and second time after experiencing a fun internship I decided to work at ISOL as a permanent employee. I would say ISOL is on the right track for global business because of its diversity and hybrid culture.
④今後のビジョン・目標を教えてください
What’s your goal and plan for the future?
イノベーティブ・ソリューションズのように業界や社会に大きな影響を与えられるようなキャリアを持ち、関連する業界や分野におけるデジタルトランスフォーメーションの採用を促進して、社会がテクノロジーの恩恵を受けられるような支援をしていきたいです。
いずれはコンサルティング会社でのキャリアや学習を維持しながら、新しいテクノロジーやアイディアを生み出せるようなテクノロジーカンパニーを起業したいと思っています。私の経験やスキルが、自身のキャリアと今後の社会に良い影響を与えられるようになれば嬉しいです。
My goal is to have a career that would give significant impact to industry and society as what we are doing now at ISOL, promote the adoption of Digital Transformation in related sectors and industries and help the society to benefit from the technology.
I have a plan to start my own tech company that would bring new technology and ideas into the marketplace while maintaining my career at consulting firm or academia. I wish my experiences and skills may bring a positive impact to my career and society.
タイ王国出身 チャニサラさん
①学生の頃学んでいたことを教えてください
Please describe what you were learning when you were in school?
私は東京工業大学で物質理工学院ー材料系の修士号を取得しています。有機および無機材の組成、構造、特性、化学反応とその応用に焦点を当てた材料科学の高度な専門知識を学びました。講義で学んだことは修士論文研究でも活かすことができました。また、医用生体工学で学士号を取得しているので、私の専門分野は主に生体材料や、表面科学修飾と生物医学装置に基づいています。
I graduated with a Material science & engineering Master program from Tokyo institute of technology. I learnt advanced specialized knowledge of material science that mostly focused on organic and inorganic materials covering the composition, structure, properties, reaction chemistry and application of materials. The knowledge through the lecture course was also applied in master’s thesis research. Since, I also had a bachelor degree of biomedical engineering, therefore, my specialization is based on biomaterial, surface modification and biomedical devices.
イノベーティブ・ソリューションズでのインターンでは何を行いましたか？
What did you do during your internship? and how did you describe that experience?
インターンシップでは、iGrafxを使ってビジネスプロセスを国際標準であるBPMN 2.0(ビジネスプロセスモデリング表記法)に習って書くことを学び、主にP2P(Procure to pay=調達から支払いまで)のビジネスフローを書いていました。勉強会とトレーニングから、ビジネスにおけるプロセス管理やビジネスフローの設計、基本的なサプライチェーンマネジメントなどたくさんの貴重な経験を得ることができました。ビジネスプロセス分析にはビジネスフローにおける論理的な分析、計画などの管理スキルが重要視されていました。
またコロナ禍だったため、イノベーティブ・ソリューションズはテクノロジーを上手く活用しながらテレワークの態勢取っており、それもまた面白かったです。困ったことがあっても、同僚がいつも優しく、あたたかく対応してくれて感動しましたし、心強かったです。教科書には載っていない、洞察力のある専門家たちから得られた経験によって、より包括的なビジネスマネジメントの概念を理解することができました。とてもいい経験になりました。
During the internship, I learned to draw business processes following International Business Process Management Notation 2.0 (BPMN 2.0) by using iGrafx. I was assigned to draw Procure to pay(P2P) processes. Through both lectures and practical training, I have gained valuable experience and developed more insight in business areas including business process management, designing business flow, and basic supply chain management.
Since, business processes analytic require logic to plan, analyze and foresee the business flow, therefore critical and logical management skills were really important. I have also experienced telework,which is quite interesting. ISOL collaboratively worked during the coronavirus epidemic with technology well. Even if sometimes I had some difficulties, ISOL colleagues always supported me sincerely and warmly. I was really impressed and grateful.
After the training, I have more comprehensive concepts of business management, which I could not find in any textbooks but through experience under insightful experts. It was a really good experience.

イノベーティブ・ソリューションズでのインターンシップは、研究者としてのバックグラウンドをもつ自分にとって大きなターニングポイントとなりました。ビジネス分野で働くことにいつも興味を持っていましたが、実際に触れるような機会はありませんでした。コンサルティング会社にはとても興味があったので、運よくWantedlyでイノベーティブ・ソリューションズのインターンシップの求人を発見したときは、躊躇なくすぐさま応募しました。以前は、日本のコンサルティング会社はトラディショナルで堅苦しい仕事環境だというイメージがありましたが、イノベーティブ・ソリューションズには様々な文化や価値観を持ち合わせた多国籍な社員がおり、差別などのないオープンマインドな社風でとても驚きました。イノベーティブ・ソリューションズに入って本当に良かったと思っています。ビジネスやサプライチェーンマネジメントを学び、日本の労働環境を経験できるだけでなく、様々なバックグラウンドを持つ人たちとの交流で、他人の個性を尊重することや、コミュニケーションも学んでいます。自分とは違う文化を学ぶことができてとても面白いです。
The internship in ISOL was my great turning point because my previous background was more like a researcher. I was always curious about working in the business field but I had never had a chance to explore. One day, I fortunately found ISOL recruitment for an intern in the Wantedly app and because I was really interested in a business consulting company. I decided to apply without any hesitation immediately.
Previously, I had an image of a Japanese consulting company to be a traditional and formal working culture. However, when I did research about ISOL, it had a different story. I was really surprise that ISOL had multi-national staffs with diverse background, and when I joined I found out that ISOL was really open-minded company without discrimination. Therefore, I have never regretted joining ISOL. Not only did I experience business, supply chain management and Japanese working culture, but I also learned to respect and communicate with people from different backgrounds. It was really interesting to learn the traditions of other cultures.
④今後のビジョン・目標を教えてください
What’s your goal and plan for the future?
今後どうしたいのかキャリアパスが見えてきました。材料科学・工学を勉強していましたが、私は研究開発よりもビジネスマネジメントの方が好きだと分かったので、今後も今と同じ分野で挑戦していこうと思っています。私が知る限りIT企業はこの先も有望であり、タイでもIT企業は人気です。イノベーティブ・ソリューションズで得られる経験がいつか自身で起業したいという野望を支えてくれると願っています。
I discovered my preference in the career path. Even if I study material science and engineering, I found out that I like business management more than R&D. Therefore, in the future, I would like to keep on working in this area. In my point of view, IT companies have promising futures, even in Thailand IT companies tend to be popular. I hope that the experience which I gain will support my ambition to establish my own business in the future.
