GeneXus Development

What is GeneXus?
Low-code development tool originating from Uruguay

GeneXus is a low-code development platform originally released in 1988 in Uruguay, South America.
By simply entering the necessary information such as business requirements, GeneXus automatically generates source code and database table definitions based on the design specifications defined by developers.

One of GeneXus’s greatest strengths is its Future-Proof approach, enabling it to adapt to continuously evolving IT technologies.

While system upgrades often require significant time and cost due to changes in operating systems and platforms, GeneXus overcomes this challenge by absorbing differences between legacy and modern OSs and platforms, automatically regenerating systems to keep them up to date.

Over a Decade of GeneXus Development Experience

With over a decade of experience in low-code development, we have deep, hands-on expertise in real-world GeneXus implementation. While low-code and no-code development have gained significant attention in recent years, the most important factor is not just building faster or cheaper, but creating systems that stand the test of time. GeneXus is well suited for complex processing and mission-critical core systems, making it a powerful platform even for highly challenging system development projects.

Support for In-House GeneXus Development

Our mission goes beyond system development—we are committed to strengthening our customers’ IT capabilities. In addition to ongoing maintenance, Innovative Solutions’ proprietary in-house enablement program helps organizations achieve customer-led DX initiatives without reliance on external vendors.

FAQ

We answer frequently asked questions about GeneXus development.

One of the key benefits of low-code development is the ability to easily implement business logic without advanced programming skills.
This significantly shortens development timelines and helps reduce overall costs.

On the other hand, low-code development is sometimes viewed as having limitations, such as being “unsuitable for mission-critical core systems.”

Based on our many years of hands-on experience with low-code and no-code development in real-world projects, we are well positioned to explain the characteristics, strengths, and limitations of each approach—and how to choose the right one for your needs.

Our GeneXus development is led by Yokoi, our CTO and a GeneXus Evangelist, who has refined proven development methodologies over more than a decade of hands-on experience. While some low-code platforms struggle to support complex development requirements, GeneXus excels in handling sophisticated processing and mission-critical core systems—making it a reliable choice even for highly challenging system architectures.

In the renewal of Resona Holdings’ branch system, the system was rebuilt using the low-code development platform GeneXus, achieving significant reductions in both development time and cost.
During the PoC (Proof of Concept) phase, we validated feasibility by identifying and addressing technical challenges, improving productivity, and promoting component-based development. We also proposed test automation and standardization to enable continuous delivery.
In the development phase, we were responsible for the early development of core components and critical functions, as well as providing in-house development support and large-scale development assistance.
